Should I repair or replace my sash window?
It's always cheaper to repair or restore your timber sash windows, but in some cases your sash windows maybe in such a bad condition you may need a complete replacement.
What are the benefits of draught proofing my sash windows?

Can you upgrade the glass in my sash windows?
Yes, we can repair broken panes, upgrade glass to laminate, or install new double glazed units.
Is your factory based in Belfast?
Yes our main workshop is located in Belfast.
Will I have to pay for a site visit?
No we offer a free estimate service, which is free regardless of whether you choose Sash Restoration Belfast or not.
We live in a listed building. Will your draught proofing system ‘alter the character’ of our windows?
No, the system is designed to be discrete and retain as much as possible of the original sash window. It is therefore conservation approved and can even be found in many Grade 1 or 2 listed buildings.
Do I need scaffolding?
No. All traditional sash windows can only be removed from the inside. Therefore all our work is carried out within the building. The beauty of our removal system means that once we’ve finished our installation, all sashes are easily removable from the inside for continued maintenance.
How long after installation do I require a painter?
We recommend no sooner than 4 weeks to allow any fresh putty to go hard and no longer than 6 months. However, if your windows are in good condition and well decorated already, they will not require exterior painting any sooner than before.
Will there be much mess?
No, we are very good at containing any mess that we make. We will only begin our work once all carpets and surrounding surfaces are protected. We recommend that you remove all valuable items from the working area but we will supply our own dust sheets for maximum protection. Please read how to prepare your property from further information.
